I've been installing this in several homes over the past few years. They are a great solution to high labor cost installing concrete footers.
A secured plate to existing concrete that accommodates existing steel pole plates is a great idea too.
I recommend trying these for any structural supports that are failing or decayed bottoms
The website is a bit confusing sighting sold in "pairs", that led me to believe I was ordering enough for 2 braces. What I received was hardware for 1 brace. I asked for the powder coated black, but the hardware is not black, so I paid extra for half black coating. Also, the EZ Brace was just over $80, and the shocker is after you place the order, the shipping comes back as $80. I feel ripped off for 160 bucks!
Comes with driver bit and drill bits. Time will tell how it holds up. In my case i filled the notches with wood. Not sure if the calcs account for the type of layered /glued sheet construction of my beams, but theres a lot of screws to hold tension.
Overall pretty satisfied with the product. One of the posts 12 mm drive heads snapped off, but I was able to finish driving it with tightening the secondary bolts to one another and using a 7/8 socket
