I had a joist in by basement that had a 5” hole drilled out for plumbing and was also cut all the way through above the hole. I contacted Nolan Structural Products and based on images of the joist they were able to recommend that I use two of the Joist Repair Kit - 24” Straps. The kits come with everything you need to install them except for a drill. Installation was easy and I was impressed with how the product eliminated all of the deflection that was happening in the floor above. The issue with the joist is right under a stair landing so you could feel the sag and hear an annoying squeak every time you used the stairs. That’s all gone now. These are great products and the staff is very helpful!
