Our Roof Rafter Strengthening Straps are an ideal engineered solution to strengthen roof rafters to accommodate solar panel installations by securing the steel straps to the bottom of the roof rafters to increase strength, decrease deflection and support the solar panels. They also increase the strength of roof rafters and decrease deflection. Ideal solution for older homes with undersized and large spaced rafters. The straps come in 3' and 4' lengths to allow easy access to attic space. The straps are secured together at the ends with 8" straps to form a continuous steel band at the bottom of the rafters (see span table).

Great solution to my 100 yr old 1st floor deflection issues. Numerous MEP obstacles made sistering the old joists inefficient. A bit of drilling/screwing but well worth it.
It is a good product. Well made pre-drilled and structural screws with it. Price was ok little high than I was hoping but I understand testing and all that. I will shop here again if I run into this situation again. Thank you
