Floor Joist Mending Reinforcers (MR) are designed to restore the full strength of joists compromised by knots, cracks, holes or notches. Floor Joist Mending Reinforcer plates are 10 Gauge G90 Galvanized steel which attach to one side of the joist via a pattern of provided structural fasteners. Fasteners are in included with each kit, including a T25 Torx Driver and 5/32" drill bit for pre-drilling fastener holes.
Limitations:Knots, cracks, or holes up to 6" diameter and with no less than 1.5" above and below the hole.

Hi I am Chuck Paterniti Owner of Paterniti Homes LLC. I liked the product for the application that we had on a new construction. We had no problem getting the repair passed through our IRC inspector. Two things I would like to see is the engineering on each product including spans and loads with placement limitations and options for longer plates.

It is a good product. Well made pre-drilled and structural screws with it. Price was ok little high than I was hoping but I understand testing and all that. I will shop here again if I run into this situation again. Thank you
